Unless she has a testis, as testis produce sperms. But once you have a testis you are no longer a female. If this is what you say is correct then it is an aberration or freak of nature.

Okay...basic genetics here.
All eggs have the X chromosome, X=female, Y=male.
This means that every egg is female.
In males, some sperm carry the X chromosome, some carry the Y chromosome.
It is the union of the X or Y sperm with the egg that will decide whether this conception will be female (XX) or male (XY).
Considering all eggs are female, the "factory specs", per se, are that the egg will develop breasts (that's why all humans have nipples) and the egg does have ovaries.
When the egg is unioned with a Y chromosome (male), at a certain stage in the development of the fetus, the ovaries descend, transform into testicles, and a scrotum is developed, and you have a boy.
The Y chromosome is also responsible for the creation of all things male...the penis, epidydimus (sp?), sac, extra testosterone...all of that.
So, in answer to your question, as you can see, women cannot produce sperm, unless there was some freak "accident" in a genetic making...which I've never heard of before.
Hope this helps.

if women can produce sperms then we are no longer women anymore, we should call ourselve "aliens". In term of biology, what distinguished men and women is in our reproductive system, just like "ying-yang". We need guys to produce offspring, if we alter the origin of nature, then a very big possibility we might have chaos and havocs after the generation.
The production of sperms involves a different body mechanism from the ovulation of ovum, of course different hormone secretion. That's why we have different reproductive system. Once again genetically modified organisms are more likely to be extincted by natural selection, simply because they are not dominant!
The complication is even serious in their social behaviours and their sex, which is not fruitful.

Where there's a will, there's a way. This is one of the possibilities of stem cell manipulation. Of course her DNA is XX so all her offspring with another woman would be female.
I suppose it won't be far before some men will ask for eggs and some sort of artificial pregnancy. Personally, I find the whole thing sounds sick.

There is a line of reserach being pursued in the U.K. that might eventually lead to the production of sperm from women's bone marrow (right now, they can make sperm from male bone marrow). Perhaps that is what the article was about.

Sperm are made by the epididimis, which are in the testicles. So I would suspect that the answer is probably no. Unless it's a female inclined hermaphrodite, but I think that hermaphorites reproductive organs don't work anyway. (Not sure though) But anyway, you've got to have balls to make sperm, it's a real man thing.

Till now its not possible. But research is going on to produce Sperm cell from the bone marrow. So may be in future it may be possible. But naturally they cant.
