Luxor has often been called the worlds greatest open air museum, as indeed it is and much more. The number and preservation of the monuments in the Luxor area are unparalleled anywhere else in the world that know of. Actually, what most people think of as Luxor is really three different areas, consisting of the City of Luxor on the East side of the Nile, the town of Karnak just north of Luxor and Thebes, which the ancient Egyptians called Waset, which is on the west side of the Nile across from Luxor.

well i love it, the monuments are truly amazing and you will see nothing like them anywhere else in the world. the tourist hotels vary a little but on the whole they are good and range between 3 to 4 star. some do call themselves 5 star but i would say they mostly equate more to 4 star. the people are very friendly but they can be a little over zealous when looking for business. they are also very persuasive and attentive with ladies of any age. if you go in the summer prepare for very warm weather in the 40's and very strong sun. i have always felt very safe there are rarely experienced any animosity as had been suggested by others. so if you are looking for sun friendly people. acceptable food ( but not haute cuisine) amazing sites and history relaxing hotels then you will enjoy it. but if you want beaches and night life this is not your destination. there are a few dicos/clubs there but not many

Delhi could be the capital city of India also referred to as New Delhi and domestically Dilli. Delhi is the main arrival place for overseas tourists and you may be certainly one of that tourist; have a look with hotelbye . One of many areas many visited in Delhi could be the Bahai Temple. That Temple is found atop the Kalkaji Hill and additionally it is called "The Lotus Temple" because of its exclusive lotus shaped design in marble. Bahai Temple was integrated 1987 by the fans of Bahai faith. The Temple signifies the purity and equality of most religions. Still another place to go to in Delhi is Gandhi Smiriti. In this museum are exhibited: pictures, statues, paintings, frescos, inscriptions on stones and relics regarding the decades Mahatma Gandhi used here. The meagre personal effects of Gandhiji also are cautiously preserved.

I honewymooned there 10 years ago in July and it was fantastic. The valleys of the Kings/Queens?Nobles etc, the musem, Karnac was the most romantic evening ever.
I hope you go and enjoy it 1/2 as much as we did. However, it was hellishly hot, but we knew it would be. Neither of us suffered with delhi-belly.
