It is the best show. It is about forensic science. New shows come on Thursday nights at 9 pm eastern time. Gil Grisome is the best.

Sans commercials, it's about 42 minutes long...

It's actually CSI: Miami that's the world's #1 drama, and I think it's because the lead character, Horatio, is so damn quirky, it's sort of an unintentional comedy.

CSI is the acronym for Crime Scene Investigation. There are 3 editions: The original, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, set in Las Vegas; CSI: Miami; and CSI: NY.

The original is a gripping show with a splash of humor and believable characters.

CSI: NY is dark and tends to be dull.

CSI: Miami needs to be seen to be believed.

All of them deal with up to 3 crime scenes, all with their own body or bodies. The CSI teams use state of the art equipment to solve these crimes. Ironically, surrounding law enforcement in the real world often uses the studio equipment as they don't have their own. It's as fine as can be found at the Quantico labs in Virginia.

If you want a good show, watch the original.

Check out this montage of moments of Horatio for a taste of what's wrong with CSI: Miami. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sarYH0z948

and for fun, Jim Carrey's take on Horatio (he's spot-on): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glvGfQnx3DI

Of course I watch it - at least two of the versions (and I do NOT waste my time with Americna Idol). CSI - Crime Scene investigation - investigating murders and other suspicious deaths using forensic science.

New shows - CSI Miami is on tonight at 10 p.m. (EST) and I believe that's new.

With the original CSI, I haven't yet watched last Thursday's episode (I have class till 11: p.m. on Thursdays so I DVR it) and not sure if this week's is a new one, but this is on at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursdays.

CSI - Crime Scene Investigation. The stories take place around the forensics team in Vegas, how they go about solving crimes, including [especially] the science.

CSI = Crime Scene Investigation

Lurve this show! It's basically about forensic scientists solving crimes. So all about solving a crime using forensics, ie DNA sampling, fingerprinting, etc

The original is the best, I'm not a huge fan of CSI - Miami.

The CSI folks tote high tech gadgets and then make commonsense deductions to solve crimes that baffle ordinary cops.
