Description:

Appearance: Looks like a star, but much smaller and very dim. A constant white light. No blinking. No 'tail'.

Movement: In a perfect, straight line, gently sloping upwards.

Speed: The speed of an aircraft, perhaps.

(Notes: I know I have seen other unusual things before, but this 'object' differs from the last one I saw. I hope to hear from others who have had similar experiences.)

Just a lot of meteor showers that fit that description. Seem to be faster than an aircraft though. There have been nights I've seen 20-30 or other nights where I will only see one.

I've seen 'other' things that were unexplainable that I knew were NOT 'shooting stars'

I see those moving stars just about every time I take a look at the night sky. They are satellites. Everyone can see them. You just have to look long enough. There are hundreds if not thousands of satellites orbiting earth these days. Eventually one will pass overhead and look like a tiny star because of reflected sunlight.

That sounds more like a man made satellite orbiting the earth. have you ever seen a meteorite fall to earth?

Most probably the spacestation or a satelite.
You can check for satelites going over your home on the internet.
