Democracy Cannot be "Imposed".
The very concept of democracy means freeing the citizens to choose the for themselves the form their government will take.
The citizens are then reponsible for the government they choose.
In any other form of government- the governing elite chooses the form of government, along with the courts, the taxation, the military, the police force, etc. The citizens are "victims" and are often unable (by design) to affect any change in their own lives...

Have a look at the definition of Democracy. You will find it can't be imposed. That goes against the very premise of Democracy. Democracy has to be fought for and earned.
Having 'the right to impose Democracy' sounds a lot like Imperialism to me. Or is it Fascism?..

I believe we do, but only because I believe that every man, woman, and child on Earth are entitled to freedom from oppression, religious prosecution, and tyranny.
Your terminology "impose Democracy" is flawed because we're giving people freedom. Do you think Joe Blow Colonial farmer from the 1700's felt that Democracy was being imposed upon him when the Constitution was first signed and made law? I think not. How can you "impose" freedom on anyone? You can't. It's another attempt to vilify the concept of Democracy, making Democracy sound worse than say, life in Prison.
Added: Democracy sets you free. Yes, many are not used to having so many freedoms as we do. Those who have lived their entire lives up to this point without Democracy, I suppose it could be said that they're all dealing with "Stockholm Syndrome." It's our responsiblity to see this through, so they can be who they were meant to be.

Ask yourself: what right does the United States have "imposing Democracy" on other nations when they themselves are no longer a democracy? The United States should worry about their own backyard instead of screwing around in everybody else's...oh, yeah, right, I forgot: they've already fu--ed up their own backyard so much with the destruction of the Bill Of Rights and Constitution (thanks to the Patriot Act) that they feel compelled to spread the wealth. It is not so much a need for the U.S. to give their foreign policy a complete overhaul -which will never happen, no matter who the g-ddamn President is- as to eliminate it altogether. Then they won't have to worry about terrorist attacks taking place caused by people who supposedly are against "The Great Satan America" and their foreign policy. Of course, Oklahoma City took place due to domestic terrorists who took issue with domestic policies...or so we were told...

No, the US never imposes democracy. The people of Iraq WANT democracy. The only question is, how bad do they want it? The Germans, Italians and the Japanese all wanted democracy and they got it. The Vietnamese wanted democracy too, but they didn't want it bad enough. That's why they live under communism to this day.

Democracy should be fought for and won. I agree. Truthfully I don't think the citizens of Iraq realize that they can stand up to GW and refuse a Democratic society. Do you think this is part of the reason for all the in fighting? They see our democracy as something on the order of Satan. We allow deplorable things to happen in this country and have too many freedoms. They prefer a much more controlled society.

And how do we do that? Seems to be a contradiction. No you can't impose " democracy" . This needs to originate independently without outside interference.
