You may want to try Japanese Plum. - UME, I used to have indigestion problem with lots of gas in the stomach and now I took UME everyday and I felt much much better. No more gas!!!

The Japanese are a nation renowned for longevity, low cancer rate and excellent skin complexion. Part of the reason lies in their regular diet of Japanese plum.

As a popular if not indispensable food, plum is taken after every meal to aid in digestion and improve assimilation of nutrients as well as to promote general health and vitality.

Crowned as "the Blue Diamond of Fruits", Ume (Japanese plum) is indispensable in every Japanese household. It is a cure-all remedy traditionally used for over 100 illnesses:

• Eases digestive problems - gastric and abdominal pain, indigestion, excessive gas
• Alleviates constipation and bloatedness
• Relieves food poisoning - diarrhoea and vomiting
• Reduces "heatiness" or indigestion caused by over-consumption of durians, rambutans, jackfruits, and fried and spicy foods
• Protects the liver and reduces the negative effects of alcohol consumption

Another solution is Enzymes.

Gas, bloating, nausea, body aches, etc. may be attributed to poor digestion. These may be clues that you are already enzyme-deficient, symptoms are varied and often subtle. Adding supplemental enzymes to your diet can also protect you from the discomfort of indigestion.

I would also recommend getting in touch with your dr to see what kind of ideas they can suggest to help this. You could try something like diurex (this is a pill to reduce water retention) if they say it's ok. Also reducing the amount of salt that you take in when eating may help some of this bloating.
