im not generalizing but there is a fair number, a HUGE amount of homophobes voicing their ideas in the media and in daily life. What's so wrong about having your own sexuality? nothing as long as you dont hurt anyone.

I think everyone fears being murdered.
No, wait. That's homocidophobic.
Well, maybe some people had a bad experience with milk, so they're fearful... no, that's homogenizedophobic.

Why do so many people NOT understand what phobic means and then make up a nonsensical word like, homophobic???

Oh, you probably think they are because you see it too much on media. What goes unnoticed is the way they treat homosexuals in other parts of the world. Where in the name of criminalization, homosexuals are beaten up, murdered, blackmailed, extortion, public ridicule, sometimes brutal torture in public just to create fear of being a homosexual. And often, such practices are backed by the majority who are yet to realize that homosexuality is not a crime, it is not a sin. So that is just not America, it is other parts of the world too.

I dont think its only them...
Its a worlwide problem. Here in Africa it ties in with race and religion...if you're black and gay things are tougher for you. But most of the understanding people find them entertaining and fun to be around... I think most people are coming to terms with them...especially the screaming queens...lol
I myself am a fan and find myself maing more gay pals than straight... and they're always so understanding... I love them...

Just because somebody does not accept the homosexual lifestyle, like in my case, it does not make me homophobic.
