well when i hooked up my digital camera. i thought everything was going OK! but then when i went to control panel it said that the camera was not hooked in properly. so like where on the tower do i hook the usb cable to. i have it hooked in the back. but i need to know what section should i hook it on..?like give me a link of a picture that shows a tower and where the usb cable goes so i know!

Well, I think you should reinstall the software that comes with your camera, because if it comes with a USB cable connector, then it should work fine.

As there is only one way of connecting a USB cable, rest assured that you can not hook your camera the wrong way :)

By your question I guess you got Desktop computer and Tower type CPU.

For your help I have just downloaded a pdf file showing how to connect camera with computer.

If you want send me e-mail so I could forward that pdf file and details.
But in the meantime. Your camera must have battery when you connect with the USB of computer. Do you identify the USB connector?

'Not hooked up' may not mean 'not physically connected'. If you can see it in the control panel, it is physically connected. Did you install the software and drivers that came with the camera?

we can help you better if you tell us what kind of camera you have. I have a sony and you can just put it on the deck and connect the usb cable. or if you have a printer that have the memory card slot, just use that.
