Some people consider the soul the spiritual part of us that is uniquely us and survives eternally.

Wow what a cool question. :) And well, you see i think everyone has to got to make their own reasons for what their soul is for, some people find their purpose in being a good family person, some people in finding the love of their loves and some people in following their dreams. It just all depends on what things make you the happiest and maybe even feel complete. :)

The soul is of God, from God, and for God. It's basically an unexplainable thing. A paradox. Fun!
