Its true Steve Nash is a better Point Guard. But Kobe comes out everyday scoring 20+, 30+,40+,50+ 60+70+ and even 80+(81 against the raptors). Kobe is also a Guard, is there anyone who is a guard that can do this that plays on a team like the lakers in this day and age? Even the great MJ had Pippen. Nash has Amare and Marion, two allstars. Kobe has...uh...Lamar Odom? Ask yourself can the Suns win without Steve Nash? Obviously not as much, but the suns still would be one of the better teams in the west, they have players that can dominate. Where would the laker's be without Kobe? Last Place. Kobe gets so much recognition because he is the team, scores like mad even against double and triple teams consistently, and does it against a much harder league and division to play in. If Kobe played in the east...wow... Seriously look at the Laker's line up...take out Kobe and insert Nash, I think there would be a noticeable difference.

Kobe gets so much recognition because of the things he is able to do at an individual level. His game is dominant and if surrounded by talent he would be able to do things far beyond what many of us can even concieve. If you gave Kobe the supporting cast of the 96 bulls, i'm sure this man would win 3 more championships with the lakers. A player is only as good as the people you surround him with. However, the reason why he gets so much recognition is because many see the potential powerhouse any team with Kobe could be if surrounded by talent. C'mon Lomar Odom and Kwame Brown?!?!?! U gotta be kiddin me!

KOBE - Best player in the league since Jordan in his prime.
NASH - Best PG in the league but not even Top5 in overall players.

Your messed up in the head to say that Nash is better than Kobe. Do you know anything about the game of basketball or do you live in Phoenix and listen to all the hype about Nash? Nash has arguably the best startin 4, next to him, in the NBA. He also has the sixth man of the year in Barbosa.

He's doing some outstanding performances, he's more flashy than Nash and other Lakers do not have the opportunity of showing themselves because of him.
Nash is far more better, more efficient and he's more a team player than Kobe. If Kobe was better, he would have got the MVP award. But look at who got it the last two years...

I'm sorry to say but Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA. He puts up like 40-50 points a game and he carries his whole team on his shoulders. He is by far the best player in the NBA today.

They are different from each other. Kobe gets recognition because he's an electrifying player to watch. Nash is fun to watch too but who would you pay to see play in person?

Mate throw in some half decent players with Kobe and he would be up there with the MVPS. He is a one man team

Kobe gets recognition because he scores. Offense sells game tickets, and that's what fans like seeing.
