Once a month the family would get together for gnocchi (mashed potatoes, egg and flour = mini dumplings). Everyone would have to contribute to the dinner by bringing something to eat or drink...green, red or white sauce, peccerino, parmesan, salad makings or dessert.
When the meal was ready to be served everyone took out their empty wallets and put them under their plate. At the end of the meal everyone put their wallets back in their pockets or purses. This ritual was supposed to magically bring money to you if you believed hard enough. And the money did come!
I guess I need to have a gnocchi dinner party.

Reciepts, coins, business cards, my license, the number for CHP so I know if I need to put chains on in the winter, and my AAA card ( A life saver!).

Cash, bus card, extra hairband, and a piece of paper that was passed around for my class to write down what they thought about me!
