I don't " use " defeat for inspiration. Yet when I do come to those points in life that I'm at a murky point or ' blocked ' . . .and, after a bit of ' grumbling ' I make the personal choice not to stay ' stuck ' or in a state of " defeat " . . . and I am inspired to move upward and on to clearer accomplished paths.
My inspiration is my inner strength, hope, belief, joy of what I know IS possible...that is my inspiration...not ' defeat '.
To me " defeat " is a best try taken and the discovery made that the choice of road taken has no where of value to continue to travel...end of that road. Lessons gathered up...and on to another path.
No defeat...simply lessons to use as ' tools ' for other accomplishments that are to come.

Depends on the nature of the defeat.
It can be demoralizing as it is in my case now.
No doubt as time passes I will think differently.
Long days and pleasant nights...

Among other things, yes. I'm using it right now as a matter of fact. I've never felt better in my life :)
