yes, how? it's called 'gaydar', its like a 6th sense, hard to explain how it works

At first glance I admit I can't tell if a person is gay. However, if I listen to them talk, pay attention to their hand motions and listen in on what they are doing I can probably tell if they are gay or not. The talking with the hands, how the hands are used in conversation, the laughter with the conversation and lastly if they do the little air kisses against the cheek.

I wish I could, but that would take all of the fun out of dating in the gay world. There are no symptoms. There is no way to tell if someone is gay by looking at them.

Well, as someone already mentioned above, the more feminine and flamboyant gay guys have a certain body language that you cant mistake, its the way they move their hands, their facial expressions, sometimes their walk...
Its also common that a gay guy will be very well groomed and know much bout beauty products as well as fashion...
I also agree that there is a gaydar, sort of a 6th sense, it like the old saying it takes one to know one...
But most ofthe time you can tell

the more flamboyant ones have a body language with them that screams gay... but most of the time not until you start talking to them... i am a straight man... but being in a theatre department has helped me study... the mannerisms... and i can usually pick up a gay guy from across the room... i don't know why... and by pick up i mean out...
I'm currently working on a production of pippin at my school and you can tell from their movements during dance numbers also... they're a lot smoother with their hips and arm movements... not to mention they're usually the most obsessed with how their body looks

I usually can. But there are no symptoms. Its not a big deal ... I don't usually walk in a room and try to figure out who is straight. I don't really care.

Only if they're obvious, like if they act feminine. However it's not the case for most gay men, so most you cannot tell, just the flamboyant ones.

sometI'mes yes...but most gay guys i know look straight when they walk in the street or at the mall......even i look straight when im in the public eye!!!
but i find making eye contact with someone works, that's how i know if someone is gay or not gay

I agree with Jim and Dke. Usually can spot from mannerisms, and I also have that 6th sense.
