If you will try to isolate people and take their rights of course they are going to react, unfortunately with violence...I do not agree with the way Israel treats the Palestinians and with how Israel tries to make a big prison out of Gaza...

And The First Dragon...Israel didn't wanted to "govern a bunch of Palestinians ",actually it hoped to have just the land, without the Palestinians in it and is still working for this...
Palestine refuses peace? It's actually funny thinking about what Palestinians and Israelis have done for peace...Starting with the Palestinians giving up more then 70% of the land they were entitled according to the partition plan from 1947 and continuing with the recognition of Israel in 1993...What Israel has done?Nothing. It's still doesn't recognize Palestinians nor their right to an independent state. And I won't even talk about the Palestinians refugees...
Israel has offered Palestinians a state where Palestinians wouldn't have had control over the borders, over the air space and over the water resources...So of course no deal...
They voted Hamas into power because of their desperation. They saw in Hamas an alternative to a corrupt Fatah...
And yes,it's hard to make peace when one side wants it and it's ready to make sacrifices for it...

The only reason Israel took over that land in the first place was, they were being attacked from there. Do you think they really wanted to govern a bunch of Palestinians if they didn't have to?
And the reason they haven't allowed complete Palestinian autonomy is, that the Palestinians refuse to make peace with them. The Palestinians want all of Israel for themselves, not just the part now called "Palestine." And they want all Jews expelled from it.
The reason there have been limits placed on Palestinians entering Israel is to limit the number of suicide bombers killing Israeli civilians. Israel has offered Palestine 95% of what they ask for, in exchange for peace. But no deal.
So, I have no doubt that Palestinians are suffering, but it is due to their own choices. They voted Hamas into power. This tells clearly what they want: an end to Israel and all Jews gone from the region.
It's hard to make peace, when one side wants peace, and the other side wants you dead.
