This is happening because we Christians pretty much want to be left alone. Therefore, we are more regressive--or defensive--in our social habits.
But Muslims, atheists, and everyone else wants to rule the world. Therefore, they're more aggressive in their social habits.

I am not a Christian but I firmly believe that you are quite correct. The Muslims are taking over and we allow it while putting a clamp on Christians. What in the world is happening to America? Why are we so stupid as to permit the Muslims from taking over bit by bit. Incidentally it isn't Christian prayer that is taken away but prayer in general. When the pledge of allegiance cannot mention "a nation under God" this refers to God as he is known to Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc. Ceremonial washing facilities? Prayer rugs? Bull.

The enemy from with in ,our govt. is more of a threat to the American way of life and freedom than Muslims .They have taxed some people to 50 percent of income now .The court just ruled freedom of the press is not absolute .The federal court ruled that the people no longer have the right to petition govt. for redress of grievances and they have eliminated heabeus corpus laws .the courts ruled that police have no responsibility to protect the citizens now, and money is freedom of speech .But govt. leaders know how to keep the christian leaders happy and quiet( money ).Its to bad the American dollar isn't even worth anything now either. Its called controlling the masses (brainwashing) Hitler done the same thing to the German people ..Making people think you are their benefactor when they are your food

Oh please. No one is taking anything from you, and you have your complete set of rights in place. You can pray wherever you want, you can have a church that doesn't get taxed, and you have the right to petition the government for grievances. This whole thing about the muslims is being waaaay overblown by the televangelists. This is the US, and we do not allow one religion to take precedence over another. It keeps you safe, and it keeps all religion safe by not letting anyone interfere with it. Don't abuse the system and the other americans will be on your side.

Eric Robert Rudolph was a Christian terrorist responsible for a string of bombings across the southern US, resulting in 3 deaths and at least 150 others injured (his terrorism ending largely with his incarceration in the ADX Florence supermax prison) -- perhaps anytime a Christian sits next to me on a plane I'll tell the stewardess I think he's a terrorist.
--
Remember-- what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If you think it's OK to suspect people of being terrorists because they are Muslim, then it should be OK to suspect people of being terrorists because they are Christian.
Christian prayer, Muslim prayer, Buddhist prayer, prayer from any religion --- all are allowed in public schools. It's an individual's choice to make. The stipulation is that the school is not supposed to LEAD that prayer.
Get some facts straight when posting your hate speech disguised as being pro-Christian speech. Jesus loves EVERYONE without any exceptions. If you can't love everyone, at least stop trying to hate so many people.

I don't know what "rights" are being denied to Christians! If you are talking about prayer in PUBLIC schools...that is NOT a right guaranteed by our Constitution or Bill of Rights! Remember this country was based on the idea of separation of church and state?????
The combination of 9-11 and Fox News seems to have fostered a belief that Islam is on the very edge of take-over. How silly! No one converts to Islam if they don't want to! But we are free to do it if we so choose.
I am a Christian, and I don't see my "rights" being eroded in the area of religion. If I want my children to receive a Christian education, I can always send them to a parochial school. We don't teach Islam in school, or any other religion for that matter.
So what if Muslims want a place to worship? There are churches on campuses, or near them.
I think you are way too worried about something that is best dealt with by just practicing your own religion and remembering that Jesus said, "Love your neighbor as yourself." He didn't say, "...but only if they are Christian..."

you are just spoiled into thinking you should have everything your way, many colleges in the us are christian or catholic based, ie all ivy schools and many others, often with a full church on campus not just a room to pray but a full on cathedral (Vassar college where i attended my friends wedding). There is still a moment of silence and you can pray to whoever you want in it. You can also pray anytime during school, you don't need to pray aloud, you can do so in the hallway or between classes if you have the urge. It should not be some forced group thing because we have many ethnic groups in our diverse community. They are far from taking over, they havn't even got equal footing and you're already upset. The market is free to shift where ever it wants.

Do you have rights that other citizens don't have? Prayer, of any kind or religion does not belong in the public schools! Not all students who attend are Christian! A college is different, if you pay to go there, you have the right to ask for anything you want, doesn't mean you're going to get it.
You already have the right to be christian, but you do not have the right to push it on to everybody else!

Just because the Muslim community is exercising their right to worship their religion, doesn't take away your right to worship your own religion.
It is everyone's right to worship whatever religion they deemed fit.
Just because they are requesting a place for them for their prayers or if their women wear head scarves, shouldn't be viewed as an infringement of your rights.
Instead, you should be proud that everyone is allowed to practice whatever religion they like.
I understand that you feel that they should fit in.
That they should be less vocal, be more low-key.
They are after all in Great Britain or America.
They can either get used to it or get out.
But this issue should be handled carefully or else the problem could escalate.

I don't know what you've been watching or who you have been listening to, but as a Liberal myself, I have heard "Christians" hollering the loudest about their rights. The likes of televangelists imploring "Christians" to write their Congress and State legislators to condemn all others because they don't fit in is ridiculous rhetoric. This is America afterall. And we are all to be treated equally under Her laws. Yet "Christians" are the ones who want, and have the special priviledges all around, and poo poo on the rest of us Americans.
And this part of my answer doesn't address your question or addresses your concern , but it is a part of my answer to compare differences you have and others still have to fight for.
Federal grants that are suppose to be for "Christians" sexual beliefs and others belief of safe sex education are unfairly distributed. Meaning if "Christians" teach that abstinence is the safest sex until marriage get 3 to 4 times the funding than those who are teaching the facts and supply information to all those who are going to have sex regardless. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the "Christian" father who gets this funding for his agenda - said that he'd rather not have his daughter using a condom when having sex, merely because it wouldn't protect her 100% from pregnancy. That it wouldn't protect her emotionally from getting a broken heart. Does that sound stupid to you? Because it does to me. And a study just released proved that whether the kids went through the Abstinence pledges or the ones that didn't - still didn't change the outcome, as they from both groups went out and had sex anyway.
And to further answer the subject - in here is my answer to another Conservatives question earlier in this forum.
