I pretend that i actually am gonna steal something or do really suspicious things like taking something from the back and walking 'casually' but guiltily to a display waaayyy at the front, like a lot of the times you can even kinda leave the store to look at them or ill look at them like right near the corner of the door and keep looking at it thoughtfully.

Tell the person nicely to back off because I'm just browsing. If I need help, I'll ask.

If said person continues to follow me around after that, then, I'd leave.

The cynic that I am I turn around and ask them if
"there is anything I can help them with today?"
or
"Is there anything in particular you are looking for today?"

They usually just think I'm crazy and leave me alone!

I usually start by ignoring them and eventually acknowledge their presence by saying "hello" or giving a little smile. This usually prompts them to ask if I need anything, to which I usually reply "no thanks." If it keeps up, I might glare at them and unless I really need to be there, I might hurry up and leave as soon as possible. Very annoying, I know!

yes, that drives me mad as well. (car salesmen are the worst). i buy what i went in there for, and i almost always talk to the manager about their helps' lack of decency. (if i'm just browsing, not looking for anything specific, i just leave.)

I will face him/her nicely and say
" Excuse me, i'll just call you when i need your assistance and try to help your other customers."

If she/he did'nt leave
1. i'll say
" What's your problem? Why are you stalking me? I'm not a theif, do i look like a theif?" ( joke i'm too nice to say that)
2. leave the shop immediatley

Yeah.. and just look what I'm looking at so I just look at something else. I keep on doing that until someone else comes in then that's her new prey. GRR It drives me insane.

Just tell them that you don't need any help right now. Maybe there is nothing better for them to do. But yes I do hate it to answer your question.

make it look like you stole something,
then, when they ask to look through your bag,
throw them the dirtiest look you have.
they'll find nothing when they search through your bag,
and that will make them feel SO embarassed.
now, just point at the most expensive thing in the shop
and said,
"i was gonna buy that. you just lost one mofokingly EXPENSIVE customer b*tch!*
that'll show them.
