There are some old floppies with important information that can not be read in modern computers. It must be somebody smart enough to find a way so it can be done. USB and the 4 pins power supply will be the hardest.

You might try cobbling something together using a USB 3.5" floppy drive. I haven't taken mine apart, but if it's anything like external IDE drive enclosures I've used, you might be able to plug your 5.25" into the controller (If I remember correctly, the 3.5" and 5.25" drives used the same data cables) and get it to work.

(Myself, I would pull out one of the 286 computers I have in the garage and move the data to 3.5" floppies. Or, maybe that 386 that's still sitting on my Dad's desk has a 5.25" drive.)

Yes, there is a 5.25" floppy on that PC. I'll do it for you if you want.

I’m having the same problem with my old 5.25 Floppies. I would like to give my boy some of my ole college homework that is stored on them. I can remember that at one time there was External USB 5.25 Floppy Drives available, so maybe one can be found at a computer swap or ham radio swap? That is where I am looking. BTW, my buddies 386 hard drive wouldn’t work when we tried it either,
