first we have to find the slope of this line to do this we use
m = y2 - y1/x2 - x1
we have (2, 4) (-1, 0)
we will assign
y2 = 4
x2 = 2
y1 = 0
x1 = -1
so using the formula we get
m = 4 - 0 / 2 - (-1)
= 4/ 2 + 1
= 4/3 this is the slope of this line

And slope of two parallel lines is the same. So the slope of the parallel line is also 4/3.

If you need further clarification or more help im me or email me. Good Luck.

4/3 is the answer
slope of this line=4/3
slope of 2 parallel lines are equal
hence the slope of the line parallel to the given line is 4/3

Parallel lines have congruent slopes, meaning that the slopes are the same.

The slope = the change in y over (divided by) the change in x

4-0/2- -1 = 4/3

So the slope = 4/3

slope is always given by rise/run .In this case 4/3. Any parallel to this line will have the same slope

if it is parallel it has the same slope so it would be 4/3

gradient, m = (0 - 4) / (-1 - 2) = (- 4)/(- 3) = 4/3
m = 4/3 is gradient of all lines parallel to given line.
