No. I would think your parents would want you to get married before they pass, but I am assuming you are like 40 or 50 not 18.

No. If you truly love him enough to marry him it shouldn't matter.
There's a verse in the Bible about a woman leaving her home & the 2 becoming one.
I've seen more marriages break up than I can count because of in laws. Respecting & honoring your parents doesn't mean you have to have their approval on who you marry, though it's nice.
If your parent's approval is more important than your love for your fiancee then you're not mature enough to marry or you don't love him enough. In either case even if they did die I wouldn't advise it. Marriage is a lifetime commitment, not to be entered into lightly.

Your parents raise you to age 18. Then you should be responsible for your own life. At least by the time you are in your early 20's or out of school. The bible says a man shall leave his mother and father...If you have children and ask this question... God help your poor children "cause obviously you're not!!!

Look around you! Do people do that? NO!!!!!!!! People get married when their parents are around to celebrate with them and be proud that their children are gettting married ...........becoming responsible, mature adults. That's something parents celebrate and look forward to. Parents who do not allow their children to get married while they are still alive are abnormally selfish.

Marriage is a commitment based on love not whether your parent are alive or not.

Well, in my case, I'd be over 50 if I'd done that, and my oldest brother would be over 60.
I'm going to say "no".
