the death of a baby before 20 weeks is a miscarriage, after 20 weeks it is classed as a stillborn.

As said above, later on in the pregnancy you actually go through the labour and your baby is still born.
But the chances of a miscarriage drop dramatically after the first 12 weeks. Dont worry too much about it!

I believe it's called a miscarriage if the fetus is younger than twenty weeks. Over that it's called still birth. I had a still birth at thirty five and a half weeks. You can have a still birth at full term (forty weeks) as well. You can have a live birth and have your baby die from complications shortly after.

It's never to late to miscarry, if you were pregnant to begin with. The doctor's just have different names for different miscarriages. Theirs Inevitable mis., Incomplete mis., Missed mis., Habitual mis., and Threatened mis.

I am not sure, but I had one at 5 and a half months. Of course my baby was still born.

it really depends, some women have miscarriages without even knowing they were pregnat, i had a friend that miscarried at 16 wks.
