He is having his college paid if he is going into National Guard. I would think the obligation would be over once he is in the Guard since he is not going directly into college.

This is directly off of their site:

The National Guard is the ONLY branch of service to offer 100% Free College Tuition to it's members. By joining the national Guard you become eligible to attend any state university or community college TUITION FREE.

Depends on his age and the laws in your state. In Manitoba, parents must support a child until the child is 18. Support may be required past the age of 18 if the child is still dependent because of illness or disability or if the child is still in school or completing his or her education at university or other post-secondary institution. Child support orders do not automatically end when a child turns 18 or is no longer dependent, unless the support order specifically says that it does. If the support order does not specify when child support ends, an application must be made to court to change (vary) the order.

it depends on two things: if the child is under 18. and what was in the agreement between the parents of the child at the time of the separation. or at the time the last agreement was made. i'm not a lawyer, but i think that's pretty accurate. hope it helps. grmmynet.

what does your divorce decree say ??? (and it's COLLEGE)
usually child support ends at 18, UNLESS the decree says YOU Pay for college...so I'd be reading your divorce papers if I were you...
