Should I buy a Voodoo doll?

Are you a Voodoo priestess yourself? No? Then you can't do anything with it. Do you practice Voodoo? No? Then it would have no effect on you even in the hands of a Voudoun. They only work if used within the faith. It's something like the Catholic exorcist waving a crucifix and splashing holy water on a vampire. The vamp laughs because he used to be a Presbyterian; Never believed in all that Catholic rigamaroll!

Buy one if you like. They make nice curios and conversation pieces.

The proper name for a "voodoo doll" is "poppet". And yes they do work, if used correctly. They are easy to construct and they don't necessarily have to resemble the person you're using it on. Rather than buy one, I would recommend making your own, the more energy you put into a working the more likely it is to be effective. They can be made from any material, but wax or cloth are used most often. The Egyptians made them from clay.

Yup and nope.

Yes they work if used correctly. No, its a lot more fun and focussed to make one yourself.

I would just like to state I do not condone the use of Voodoo dolls as revenge as a more hands on approach is a lot more fun.

A vodou doll can be used for many things if it is connected to someone by cloth, hair or nail clippings. The main thing it does is to give the person with the doll in hand a point of intense concentration on the other person. Remember there is no free ride in Magick you will pay or be rewarded according to what you send out.

I don't think that the dolls work but I do think that people can will things to happen. Not all the time but the mind is very powerful and is often underestimated.

People who practice Voodoo seem to think so.
But I personally don't belive they do in real life. Just in Horror movies.

Only if you REALLY believe it and know someone is affecting a doll that represents you and therefore you create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Why not get one?

Don't know, but if you find out that they do let me know. There's a few people in my school I would like to try it on if it works.
