Well in terms of who is a greater asset to their team it would have to be Joe Johnson. He is a great scorer for the Hawks and is a great young player capable of leading them to the playoffs.
Walker is also a great player..but the Heat are a great team anyway..And i would not value Walker higher than i value Johnson and wat he does for the Hawks.
One must also look at the 2007 season...Johnson went on join the East All Star team and Walker did not.. Johnson has had a breakout season with 25.0 ppg, 10th in the league while Walker has only avged 8.5 ppg.
It would appear that Johnson is the better player...But Walker is individually a great player..An excellent 3 point shooter and his Team (Heat) has made the playoffs with strong team play when Shaq or Wade were injured. With Walker at the helm.
To answer yor q. I think Johnson is the better player of the two...But u must not underestimate Walker cause he is a force with Wade, O'Neal, Kapono, Haslem, Williams and Riley...enuf said

Joe Johnson is still on the way up for his basketball ability whereas Antoine Walker is on his way down. And Joe Johnson is already a better player than what Antoine Walker had ever been, because along with Paul Pierce, Boston never done much, but Atlanta this year at least had a good start before injuries strike

In his prime, Antoine Walker. He's tall and he's very versatile, much like Lamar Odom but more consistent in his play. He can play four positions and is really very versatile on offense. He can shoot those threes, post-up or slash through the hoop. Joe Johnson is kinda one-dimensional. He's just a good pure-shooter.

Walker has Shaq and Wade on his team. This factor limits his touches, especially down low where he's most dangerous. He has been playing very well of late.

Johnson is a solid player, but let's see how the Heat do in the playoffs before we reach a verdict on this one.
