As an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (With a pension!) I can say that I am now taking care of the one person FORGOTTEN over all those many years of Responsibility (including responsibility for others) -- ME!
I am renovating my home, fixing the damage that my Ex (from approximately a decade and half ago) did when he BURGLARIZED my home in August 2006, I am going BACK to College (this time for fun -- and taking courses like Website Design and Digital Imaging/Photography), learning how to Golf, doing my yardwork (I love being ALONE in my own home), able to sit down and READ an ENTIRE BOOK without interruptions, learning how to cook gourmet meals, going on day trips and taking my Camera with (and just enjoying the perfect moment when everything is in "focus"), sleeping longer than I did when I was working/raising children as a Long Term Single Parent, and now ... go where I want when I want .. and get a chance to visit my siblings as well (which, when a Long Term Single Parent and working I never got the chance to do!).
Gosh .. so much to keep one active in mind, body, and spirit. This also includes me volunteering and donating too -- and that I do without wanting to draw attention to myself.

I would travel. And if i did that that would mean i had money and if i had money i would go to Africa and instead of making a school for only a few. I would build small schools all over Africa so all the poor kids could go to school. That is what i would do
