Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Does Medicare Cover Breast Reduction

I don't think medicaid will pay for something like this. MAybe if the surgery was for a kidney replacement then they will but probaly not. There should be a website you can go for these kind of questions or a phone number that you can call. If the doctor reccomended that you have he surgery and he/she has a legidimate reason then yes the insurance will improve it .Are there other options that can help you with the pain in your back and neck? Be sure to check with the insurance/medicaid company and comsult with your doctor for further instructions. It also depends on which state you live in to have medicaid coverage.

Most insurance companies base things off of medical necessity. Medicaid although a government funded entity does the same as most other standard insurance companies. If you have no health problems that are making you seek out a breast reduction there is little if no chance they will help pay for it. If you have health issues or concerns that are worsened due to your condition it is possible they could pay for some of the cost. Ideally, I would contact your medicaid officer (there are government officials that answer these questions for the medicaid population) and see what options you have and what required paperwork is needed to be completed for Medicaid to make its decisions.

Hi there I had my breast reduction a few days ago and yes your surgery may be covered. I do not have any form of health insurance but I will get money back from Medicare and from tax. I paid $10,500 (AU) all up for my surgery and I will get back $900- $1200(AU) from Medicare and then after the end ofthe financial year I will get back $2000 - $2500 (AU) from the Health Tax- although this is only if you have paid enough tax over the last year.

Have a look into whether it will be paid, it can depend on how much breast tissue they will be removing, and the amount of back, neck and shoulder pain that you currenlty have. Hopefully if it doesn't cover you then you will at least get a few thousand back like I am.

Good luck with your surgery

I have a friend going through the same thing, and she is currently on medicaid due to recent surgery, and getting let go from work-

Her back surgeon, her family doctor, and her family chiropractor all ruled in her best interest to have the reduction done so that it won't aid in her back problems,,,,
They will be removing 10 lbs from each breast!!!!!!!!

Just make sure you get references,
and pick a GOOD doctor-
you don't want just any 'hack job' cutting you up like that,
make sure they have YOUR best interest at heart,
not how fat their wallet may get......
Best of luck to you!

They will if you state it is for medical reasons (back pain).

Make sure you get at least three consultations from those in your health plan before choosing, get a look at their pre and post op pictures and ask questions.
