Is it true that tongues have two part like one side is the sour side and the other side is sweet? Like the sides are dealing with your tastebuds. I couldn't really find it on wikipedia so i was wondering if someone could help me.please. it's for a science fair project.

The Wikipedia article claims the 'taste map' is false. So test it yourself. Blindfold your subject and touch various parts of their tongue with a tasteless object like a glass rod. Ask them what it tastes like and keep good records and do a good statistical analysis.

Actually I think there are more that just two, there might be four or something like that. One for sour, sweet, spicy, and etc. watch try putting something spicy on the side of your toung (the edge side) then try putting it in the middle. Which side did you feel spicier?
