It's funny -- if you take all of the answers you've been given, the truth is buried in there -- but nobody has yet to give all three correct answers. they are as follows...

1. Raw Materials--Resources.
2. A Two Front War.
3. Lend-Lease Act.

1/- They were looking for resources. The US has done it the same way.

2/- They created a third front and really put Germany on the back foot.
Most people will say a second front but forget about the armies fighting their way up through Italy.

3/-Your question makes my blood boil.
You blood sucking bastards supplied the material to support the Brits at exorbitant prices that you made them pay back with no discounts for being a major post war ally.
If you haven't heard the last cheque was received only a few months ago.
You are a nation of money grubbing leeches and are arseholes as we spell it here

I've got to agree with MurrayH & Elizabeth on the last question.
Unfortunately, the payments weren't just monetry, they also included the majority of the technological and scientific advances made by both Americas wartime allies and by Germany.

I'm afraid question 14 is poorly worded.
It should read:
....enable us to supply them ships, etc. for which we demanded payment at the cessation of hostilities.
give implies it was a gift.
