I am so glad that music is as diverse as people are...it would be boring otherwise...if a person likes lots of different styles of music..they're probably adventurous...if the choices are fewer, they might be safe and steadfast...or stubborn...I'm not so sure about the "style" of music prejudging a person's character...my brother, for instance, who is a white collar worker and more into refined things...loves country music....who would've thought...

I know that I always ask my potential dates about what type they listen to cause it says for instance if the person is open minded by the variety, the moods she's in most often, and the kind of energy she likes to be in! If I don't like her music collection CD, I will most probably not venture into a relationship with her. It's very revealing for me.

Oh, sure, it says a lot about them. Music varies so much and so do personalities. I'd rather be friends with someone who favored , say, gospel, over one who liked rap.

I tried to like rape because my best friend liked it, then country because my ex husband loved it, but I wasn't happy, because I hated it. I'm happy with being me...Rock'n Roll.

How open minded they are. if they only listen to one type they are not very open to new ideas or people.
