In addition the songs already listed, I find the following to be great:
Runnin' with the Devil
Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
Right Now
Somebody Get Me a Doctor
Spanish Fly
I concede that And the Cradle Will Rock, Hot for Teacher, and You Really Got Me are good. However, they lack the quality of greatness. I think I feel this way because both the vocalist's voice and lyrics are flippant on them.

Personally:
During the actual Van Halen days I would add Hot for Teacher, Runnin' With the Devil, and You Really Got Me.
as for Van Hagar, I may be tempted to throw Right Now into the ring...but you didn't hear it from me.
David Cherone added nothing to the band, he gets no songs on my list.

Jump I joke though i find it quite funny a guy heralded as a guitar god's most famous song features a keyboard riff but back to the question, probably ain't talking bout love, that riff is freaking awesome and the solo is also cool as hell.
