Listeners! I hope they start going after Rock, Hip Hop and Rappers next and Howard Stern and clean up the airwaves! CBS records and them lot of them need to stop pandering filth and Parents should take control of what their children and teens see and hear, if it means disconnecting the computer, television and radio and confiscate the junk their children and teens are listening to! It is the Modal music of the Dark Ages! It has gone on for too long!

Imus had a successful career - he is the loser.
I think you are alluding to the premise that perhaps we are the losers because free speech is being somehow squelched - but that is not the case in this instance.
All day and night you can hear generic slurs and hate speech all over the air waves. Imus crossed the line when he directed his insults, not at an issue or imagined injustice, but instead at specific individuals - and that's simply not free speech by any stretch.
He blew it, and he, as well as his sponsors, knew it.

You and I, just wait this is just the start whenever you let people start tellin you right or wrong what to say and do this will open up a whole new can of worms we will all want to put the lid back on before it ever ends if it ever does! i would make a bet that if Al and Jesse hadn't got involved he would be at work tomorrow! Imus- he insulted people and therefore he paid the consequences... this situation has nothing to do with Free Speech.. he worked for a company that relies on listeners and sponsors to make money... when their listeners are complaining and their sponsors are pulling out then they are not making money and therefore need to rectify the situation... it is basically a customer service industry... he insulted the customers and was fired as with any other job

I think Imus would qualify as the loser, as he is the one who got fired.

Imus is the only loser here. He got himself fired because of his continued inappropriate remarks.

IMUS, he was stupid enough to make the comments.
True it says something about freedom of speech, but Imus is the real looser.

At this point, everyone involved! Imus would never have apologized if life had just kept on going, the fact that the girls even met with him for an 'apology' is whatever. And atthe fricken governors mansion!? LMAO, the girls shouldn't have even CARED, my God. The guy was talking out of his a** anyway, and I doubt he meant the apology because it was pretty much just for PR. And the girls holding press conferences, and their coach not shutting up about it, it's like....Jesus, move on people. Later in life girls, trust me, you will be called worse by some dude in your life!
Imus is just an arrogant idiot anyway, who was trying to be cutting edge and funny like Howard Stern and it backfired miserably.
