If you take private lessons or band at school, then take it to your teacher for a look. They usually do a good job of fixing instruments. If they don't know what's wrong with it then go to an instrument shop where they'll fix it for you probably for no cost.

Don't screw them so tight. When they're real loose, you're only supposed to screw them in so they're secured, not so they're really tight.
