Interesting question. I keep mine in a big cylindrical tube, the kind you mail a huge poster in.
And the poster is still in it.

lol.. When I met my husband he was collecting pennies in one of those water jugs like u see at work places... So I have added to that It is really heavy now... I also save my silver change In one of those big pickle jars..(still smell the pickles when i open it lol). Me and my husband are going on vacation this year to Cozumel Mexico ( I am so excited I have not done much traveling and especially no where as great as there) So I plan to Get to counting and have some extra spending money... Figure I better do it soon anyways because I don't want to be counting that big water jug when it is full of pennies........
My friend had a actually piggy bank also .. I was always so jealous of her.. Thought It was so cool... When me and my Best friend were younger She needed a pack of cigarettes really bad but had no money so she busted her bank open that was a Unicorn.. Cause there was no way to open it unless u broke it.... It was so full of money that she was able to get a carton.. ha ha.. Her mom however was not pleased... ( yes she was a underage 16 yr old smoker).

I even have some approximately $3 in spare substitute precise now. yet my mom has approximately, i might say, $250 in a jar precise now.

I keep mine in a coffee can. When it gets full all the kids in our family vote on how much is there and then we go to the change machine, whoever is the closest gets all the money.

My sister got me a ceramic pot that does not have a way to remove the coins, only a slot to put them in.
The pot must be broken in order to get the coins out.
Forced savings!
