It's normal for the title of most powerful class to shift from one to another after every update in WoW.

I haven't played in a while and have been thinking about getting back on, but I'd like to know which class is the most powerful for one, the one that everyone complains about being overpowered, at the moment.

people say that locks are extremely over powered or shadow priest but in my opinion i like shammies because they can interrupt casters all the time if there enhancement but if you want to pwn just be a shadow priest or lock there pretty much equal and everyone complaines about them being over powered all the time

These days it seems every class complains. I would hate to be the Blizzard rep running the boards right now.

I'd agree with Chizzle, but I would also add Druids and hunters as well. Since the alliance got shammys with the expansion, its been shammy edged of late. Everyone knows Blizzard is pro-Alliance so it shouldnt be a surprise. When in bear and were-bear form the bonus to armor is almost broken and easily adds 2-8k past most warriors. I would generalize that the hybrid classes or Druids and Shammys are leading to way to brockenville.

Also you might want to condsider any of the classes that have armor upgrades at 40. (hunter, shammy, warrior). Early in wow-dome, casters were pretty broken by the power of their spells which was balanced with their armor class. You know, the glass canon rule? But over time, Blizzard has slowly been nerfing the cloth classes so that its really no longer balanced.

My main is a 68 warlock and over the last couple of months I have been gravitating towards hunters as I play my hunter alt more. You get the same pet relationship but you get leather and mail which keeps you alive when all hell breaks loose.

Honestly if you start at 1, my advice may change in 3 - 9 months.

I have included the link to the latest patches. It should help to see which class is getting pumped up or down..

PVP or PVE
World PVP or BG or arena, 2vs 2, 3vs3, 5 vs5
Roll the class u like and i can tell ya there will be times when u will be the gimped class and sometimes u will be the King.
Exaples:
Paly the worst class in world pvp (cant catch and can be kited forever) but the strongest in arena, all top treams got paly, Hunters are kings in BGs but not so king in arena, and so on.
So roll what u like cause 70 lvl is a long way to go and u got to enjoy ur classes playstyle.
