I want it to say To: Monica From John (in cursive letters) approximately 8 feet by 8 feet. Just a blanket for the couch to cuddle under. Do you know of any stores online?

Why not buy a plain blanket and paint your letters on with fabric dye or fabric paint? You can choose a font on your computer and enlarge the letteres to a full page each, and cut them into stencils.

A nice alternative might be to ask your mom's friends if anyone has an embroidery machine. Then they can do the lettering in one corner of the blanket where she can look at it whenever she uses the blanket. Plus it will be prettier for her room because it will look professional.

That's a huge blanket. Most sofa size quilts and afghans for cuddling under are roughly 50" x 70".

You can order items from www.landsend.com and have them personalized or monogrammed, and they have bedding and quilts in their catalog. Although this may not be their standard order, they might be able to do it.

You also could buy a blanket you like and take it to a local embroidery shop, the kind of place that stitches names onto uniforms.

Try www.personalizationmall.com .I have ordered from there and have been pleased with the service, product, and price. Just type "blankets" in the search area. I think there is about 3 different pages of stuff! Good Luck!

I would take an alternative road and look for ads at fabric or craft shops - JoAnn's or a quilter's organization would be able to customize a throw to your specifications.

you could have someone embroider on any sort of fleece blanket with yarn, otherwise you have to go to a specialty home weaver and its going to reallllllllllllllllly cost you bunches.
