Throw out all of the stats. Give me your top two players in the NBA who make the players around them better, and whose teams aren't nearly as good without. Think really hard about this one and break your answer down in those two categories.

steve nash and jason kidd come to mind for me.....

steve joined the suns for the 04-05 season. the year before the team won 29 games, the year after (steve's first) the team wins 62 with essentially the same roster. the year after that they lose amare to injury and johnson via trade, they won 54 games. this year they're again over 60. in the 3 years that nash has been with the team, he has taken amare and marion to a higher level in their game. yes they were great before, but with nash, they have evolved into better players....their stats will speak for themselves. nash has had such an impact on this team that in the 3 years of his tenure, he has won the mvp award twice, and is again this year a top candidate. nash has shown that you dont need to be a big time scorer to make your team better. his passing ability, basketball IQ and high shooting %'s make him a dangerous player. he is the reason the suns are so dangerous.

the team has yet to make it to the finals, and i put that down to bad luck. in its 2 years of being on the verge of a finals appearance they had injuries to key players. first it was joe johnson, and the year later amare stoudamire.

jason kidd like nash has led his team well. before he arrived with New Jersey, the team was failing to succeed. in the 99-00 season the team won 31 games, the year after (00-01) season the team won 26 games and was plagued with injuries. one year later (01-02) season jason kidd joined the team. his presence energised the team as he led them to a club record 52 win season and a trip to the finals. it was in that year the kidd missed out on an MVP award (he recorded 46 triple doubles in the season). the season after that, the nets won 49 games and again made it to the finals, but again lost.

kidd has an all round talent, he can score, rebound, defend and pass the ball making him a constant triple double threat. kidd is the reason the team plays so well, he too has a high basketball IQ and has shown that all round play is better then being a 30 point scorer.

Steve Nash and Jason Kidd were two players who wildly changed the fortunes of there teams. NJ was a lottery side with Stephon 'Starbury', yet once they traded for Kidd they go to two Finals series. He was the only star on that team, and really lifted the team on his shoulders and carried them further than anyone expected.

Steve Nash has won two MVP's without scoring outrageous amounts. He also took another playoff team and has got them to a whole new level. He is the definition of your question.

a million.Lebron-a million be conscious MVP 2.Kobe-plenty in the take carry of three.Wade-third suitable all around interest in the league 4.Paul-4th suitable all around interest in the league 5.Melo-are you kidding me? Durant in over Melo? Durant is all offense precise now no longer a variety of of a defender Did you in ordinary terms say Durant ability extra the the Thunder than Lebron is to the Cavs????????placed Lebron on the Thunder they might win 60+ video games. Durant on the Cavs 35-40 wins asserting Durant is extra vauluable than Lebron is absorded. Lebron gets it executed in all factors of the sport. He gets 8 help a interest Durant gets 3........Lebron has the Cavs on a 8 interest winning streak without there 2nd suitable participant and that they beat the Thunder and Lakers throughout the time of the streak. and there is not any way Durant in his third season than Lebron became into Lebron averaged 31 ppg 6 reb 6 help Durant 29 ppg 7 reb 3 help See the version??? And Durant has 0.000% of winning Mvp over Kobe or Bron(if wholesome) How ought to you're making a case he's mvp? Cuz his group is 8th in the West? or because of the fact Kobe and Bron have the two suitable information in the League. Statistically Lebron crushes Durant, record sensible Lebron Crushes Durant your overrating him way 2 plenty...........

Steve Nash and Tim Duncan
I don't think I need to explain why Steve Nash
As for Tim Duncan, he is the only low post presence the Spurs has, without Duncan, the Spurs has no half court game and Parker and Ginobili would not be able to get their shots

Steve Nash- a very selfless player who would only shoot if necessary. No wonder why he has been the league's MVP for two straight years.

Jason Kidd- Vinsanity's game seem to have been reborn in New Jersey all thanks to Kidd's basketball brilliance. Also he doesn't concentrate in one stat alone. Remember that this 1995 ROY is Mr. Triple-Double in the NBA.

Steve Nash and LeBron James

This is an easy question to answer when you consider the Suns need Nash in order to play their run-and-gun offense and Cleveland without LeBron would be even worse than Memphis is now.

Steve Nash a very unselfish player. Leads Nba in assists and has caused all players around him to have their season high scoring average.

Vince Carter scores, rebounds, assists, steals, rebounds, and blocks. What more should I say.

Um......Alline Iverson (I can't spell his name right. Sorry). He just leads the Denver Nuggets to victory.
And....
Kobe Bryant. The Lakers COULD NOT have gotten into the 2007 play-offs without his 50-something points. I remember the only times Lakers actually WON without Kobe was when they played against the worst team ever...the Hawks.
