What certifications do i need to babysit? (not be a childcare provider) Just babysit for people when they need it. Where can i take classes? Thanks!

While it probably depends on where you live I would think that most people would want to know that you've at least had CPR training, if nothing else. You can generally find CPR classes at community colleges and such. If you're having trouble finding one you might try giving a local fire station a call and they'd be able to tell you where you can get CPR training.

To actually be "legal" and licensed to babysit (if your area requires such a thing) you'd have to find out from the proper authority who does the licensing. Who that might be I'm afraid I can't say as I don't know. You might contact a few day-care centers and see if they'd know.

YMCA or ywca in your community usually has a class.
