I will for sure... the music makes no sense most of the time and all it talks about is Hos and money and gat. Don't these "artists" know how uneducated they sound. Isn't there anything in their world to talk about except for goin' down to da corna in der brand new mercedes to pick up some hos, smoke some marijane and blow some G's on some gat and be cop killas?
Come on, it's ridiculous... there are young men getting their heads blown off "across the pond". Respect yourself, have some pride and express in music something a little more intelligent! YA KNOW?

in my opinion, i see hip hop by fact the subculture and rap as its music. like numerous different lifestyle, hip hop has its very own language, gown, sort, music, etc. rap is in simple terms the music of that subculture. yet like a number of you stated formerly, that's been taken to point 2 distinctive "genres" of the comparable music. as an occasion, hip hop which means straightforward and kweli and rap which means lil wayne or whoever makes use of a vocoder and considers it music. i think of that's what nas develop into concerning whilst he stated "hip hop is lifeless". to me, the subculture is extremely lots alive...that's the music it is not all there (yet that's yet another talk). i think like there may well be a average confusion on wakeful rap as against mainstream, commercial rap...preferable anybody to think of that hip hop and rap are 2 separate musics. yet in any case, have self assurance what you need to. that's in simple terms my handle it.

I'm a girl so no, I don't have "the balls to take them on." But even so, I woulldn't stand by ya 'cause people have different tastes in music and should be allowed to listen to them, even if they ARE rap and hip hop.

No. I never supported them in the first place. I do have respect for some rap and hip hop and many are very talented and shouldn't suffer for a few that are not talented.

The best way to boycott this garbage music is not to buy it in the first place.
I will stand beside you--not physically only in spirit!

there is a difference between rap and hip hop, hip hop tends to be more political, sorta like what rap was when it began. So I suggest that you listen to true hip hop before you lump them together. as for rap it is crap now, it has no meaning, and has evolved into something far from what it was.

tell me...why are u boycotting rap and hiphop? if u have a valid reason maybe.. otherwise hell no. hip hop is a culture...why would i boycott my culture. not the ip hop that u may be familiar with but true hiphop. does krs one ring a bell? nas, talib kweli, hi tek, mos def? there are others but i dont have time to elaborate. if i may make a suggestion, light weight, a movie that u can start off with that may help u understand better is brown sugar. i cant boycott the true essecnce of rap and hiphop but i can boycott the sugarfest mainstream music the media has promoted to make bundles that some of you call rap and hiphop.

Well, isn't a boycott just not buying their product? Seems like I have been doing that for years then. I can't stand either one!!
