I am particularly referring to those top contributers with like 10,000 points.
Don't mean to cause offence, but obvi, a lot of people on this site are super SUPER sensitive people and will be offended despite this sentance. So- Sorry to you all.
So....let the games begin...

Well, "obvi", the time spent on Y!A is not spent socializing...unless being on Y!A could be considered a form of it.
I just found this place a few months ago, had a question, and got it answered in 2 minutes (it was a music question). So, I thought, "cool, wonder if I could help someone else out."
I probably spend too much time here, but I have to admit it is kind of an ego boost to get a "best answer" notice in my email. I'll probably get bored with it all after a while...I usually do with things having to do with the Internet.

Ha, ha. I'm not offended. I'm so hard to offended it's funny watching people try to offend me. Occasionally I have a social life. I am disabled, living on disability income. So there isn't much money. The Internet is my big splurge. I haven't been to a movie theater in years nor can I afford a car. It took me 4 years to save up for this computer. (Which I partially use to research my disorder.) I don't like crowds too much. And I despise the social games you are expected to play in pursuit of the opposite sex. Yahoo Answers has actually been good for me, It has helped my spelling, and it has helped me to restructure my thinking patterns among other things. And yes I have met some interesting people on here that I will never meet, and that is just fine with me. I have always been a loner and always will be. I value my privacy and even as sick as I get sometimes I refuse to ask for any more help than the little bit I already get. Especially when I can not sleep this a great place to be. I like your questions, because you do have to wonder some time. Take a look at the points earned in a week by some people and you really wonder if they have a social life. Have a nice week.

Why sure. I am in college and have lots of friends including most of my professors. I use Y/A for a stress relief because I study all the time and need to get away from it. I earn most of my points during long breaks.

i love this question.
i probably have one of the busiest lives.
i am a popular high school student, i also happen to have insomnia. so i use yahoo questions to occupy me at 2 in the morning.
i love how people say, yeah i went to a party on Saturday.
hon, that doesn't mean you have a social life.
try doing stuff 6 days out of the week, then we'll talk.

I'm near 10,000 points and I have a life. I just wind up on here whenever I have free time or dont feel like paying attention to the work I'm supposed to do.

I don't have any social life at all, none, zero, nada, zip. No size, no shape, no color, no form. Period. And I don't even have 2,000 points. People don't want to know me. I'm a hapless individual. The only attention I get, is here and I don't have to face anybody. I don't care because I am used to it.

I have a lot of points and I have a very active "virtual" social life. Woe is me.
I cannot keep up with all the eMails
and people who touch my 360 page.

I know what you are saying....I discovered Yahoo answers two weeks ago, and have a hard time walking away from it, so I just have to limit myself to a certain amount of time doing it. But, to answer your question, I don't know about everyone else, but I do have a life.

hey mate,
most have a social life by going to walmart to see who is the biggest and ugliest...on TV, there was a show about cops doing a sting on a kiddy porn and a huge gristle head cop was committing to these criminals like a young girl....i am sure the women folk on yahoo answers are not like "girls gone wild" and the yahoo answer bucks haven't been laid in a while, including me.
