I think you made a mistake because, accordig to what you said, the function f is a constant.

if f(t) = 2^(1/3) it is a constant function so no t shall satisfy f(t) = 32

but if f(t) = t^(1/3) then t = 32^3 shall make f(t) = (32^3)^(1`/3)
