It's quite possible. I've had one or two go away on themselfs.
If you're under a lot of stress or not getting enough sleep, that can cause an infection, and if you think that's how you got it, just try to stay unstressed and getting enough sleep. Also, if you don't already, take a shower everyday and make sure that it's dry 'down there' whenever not in the shower. If it won't go away, you can get over the counter, one pill medication. If it's driving you nuts though, think about taking a visit to the doctor. It might not be what you think it is.

Good luck! (If you have one!)

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

I would not recommend waiting for it to disappear on it's own. A yeast infection is often caused by antibiotic use. Antibiotics not only kill the harmful bacteria, but tend to also destroy the non-harmful bacteria - allowing other things such as yeast infections to proliferate. Have you recently been treated with antibiotics. some women are very sensitive in this regard - sometimes developing a yeast infection after having taken only 1-2 pills of the antibiotic therapy.

I definitely recommend using the appropriate medication to relieve you of this infection. I would suggest you contact your family MD (or obgyn - if you have one) -to discuss treatment options. There are over the counter products available to cure yeast infections - however without knowing your medical history etc - I would not recommend this WITHOUT having first talked to your doctor. If you are taking antibiotics for some other ailment - you may want to talk this over with your doc as some OTC medications can interfere with prescription meds.
(drug interactions).

Go get checked out - they can be very uncomfortable.

PS - don't use garlic - showhunter is full of @)#($*@*%&

Yogurt is good for re-balancing the yeast. I would make sure it is only a yeast infection and not something else which can get worse and cause serious complications if left untreated.
many women get yeast infections from taking antibiotics in that case you can either increase the amount of yogurt you eat, take acidophillus capsules (only use the live ones and they need to stay refrigerated as they are live) or you can apply the plain yogurt to the area of the problem. That can be messy!

Good luck

Yogurt, raw honey and garlic all help but they do not tackle the root cause of yeast infection which is Candida albicans.

Have you tried the holistic approach? It's not easy or quick and it does take some commitment but it is far more effective long term solution than any worthless cream or antibiotics.

Here's an honest and comprehensive program that helped me the most after ALL that I have tried has practically failed:

Key word is INFECTION. Eventually, you could end up with a urinary tract infection if left untreated which is very painful. You can buy over the counter meds now. You should know that you could pass this to someone else through intercourse. Yogurt with acidophilus will help with healing faster.
