I'm almost 17 years old but I first got my period when i was 12. Until about two years ago it was regular and I had it every month but now it's every 6 or 7 months. My mom thinks it's just hormonal but I'm not sure.

It's normal for your periods to be imbalanced at your age, but twice every year is not normal. Go have it checked out just to make sure.

All people are different. I have a friend that only gets her about every four months..

Check in with a doctor to make sure that there is not medical reason for it. If it's just the way you cycle it's all good.

I wish I had that problem!

No, it's not normal. You need to see your doctor to find out what's going on with your hormones and your cycle. This could affect your future ability to become pregnant.

I only have a period 2-3 times per year. It is because I am overweight. Are you overweight?
