If I brought to you a rainbow
would you take it from my hands,
would it become a treasure
that would ease your curt demands?

If I captured you a moonbeam
and offered it with love,
would you at last be satisfied
and feel you have enough?

If I offered you the heavens
and all that they entail,
would you smile at me and thank me
or would your love for me still fail?

If I wove for you a future
from the purest love Divine,
would that be all you'd need from me
would you, at last be mine?

Or am I just living in a dream
of some dim and faded fantasy,
For all I really have to give
is this old heart inside of me

I wanted to help intercept, but it was too flighty and got away like a dream and a rainbow. I guess I need a faster interceptor.

Do you mean "interpret" the poem?
If that's what you mean, then I think it means that the woman is never satisfied, always wanting more.
