I'd painfully penalize major US corporations who legally price gouge it's citizens for profits that overdo justification or personal satisfaction, other than to quench the uncontrollable thirst of political control.

I'd sock it to them where it REALLY hurts: their PROFIT LINE.....they strike at the people; they lose their $$$$$.

This is too hard to pick........... I'll give you my top 5 which are in no particular order. These 5 things would greatly help put this country back on the right track.

1) Term limits for Congress.

2) Constitutional amendment limiting the amount of taxation and government growth.

3) Abolish the current tax code and enact a national sales tax.

4) Enforce immigration law, build a border fence, make new immigrants assimilate (ie, learn English, American government & history, etc) and stop making people born on U.S. soil automatic citizens.

5) Return federal spending to Constitutional mandates - ie, get rid of the Department of Education, Agriculture, etc.

I think I would like to outlaw "hurt feelings" as a motive for legislation. We all come from people who immigrated here, most who overcame some kind of prejudice, let's get over going around with our feelings on our sleeve, get a grip, grow up and join in making this a meritocracy like it tried to be when we were genuinely leading the world.

Cut public services for illegal aliens, which will solve our illegal alien problem.

Seeing that according to the Heritage Foundation:
on average each Illegal Alien household takes up $31000 in public utilities (public school, healthcare, and a lot of things, the original report was very detailed) but on average each household only pays an average of $9000 in taxes, leaving a $22000 deficit from each family each year. depending on how you look at it, that might mean as much as a billion dollars is lost each year to illegal aliens in public services.

in California we passed prop 187, but the supreme court struck it down and screwed us over. I'd just love to have that overturned.

Certain issues shouldn't be a partisan debate. Americans need to look past political garbage sometimes so they can see the best course for our country.

Enforce immigration laws. Crack down hard on those that illegally enter the country. Stop paying out welfare for those that are here illegally.
