Have sex in positions that keep sperm inside the vagina longer.

The missionary position is a good position to use when trying to get pregnant. Avoid positions where the woman is on top. Gravity will allow sperm to leak out with these positions. Also try placing a pillow under your hips to help tilt your pelvis and keep the sperm in longer. Don’t get up right after sex. Try to relax and allow the sperm to stay in the vagina as long as possible.

Seriously... It is thought that if you lay down after having sex the sperm have an easier time traveling to the egg.. 10-20 minutes is what i read with your but elevated slightly... Try having sex with him coming in from behind.... It's truly better penetration and one of the most successful positions for baby making... Best of luck to you...

I have the book "Getting Pregnant" and it says to lay for 20-30 minutes with your pelvis raised after sex. We followed this book and got pregnant the first month we tried ;)

And for the girl who said lying down after makes no difference has been misinformed. If you get up, a lot of the semen will "spill" out. Lying down allows it to penetrate the cervix and gives you a better chance of conceiving.

I would guess ten to fifteen minutes would be plenty. But as you're laying down, you may want to place a pillow under your bottom... to kind of let gravity help the little guys get to their target easier. Does it make a difference? Who knows...but I think it's worth a shot.

i have heard that 20-30 minutes is good. Also to have the guy stay in you for as long as is comfortable. I dont know if thats true or if it would make a difference, but its worth a shot. Good Luck :)

Try hanging upside down. Ha Ha Ha. Just kidding. Laying down? I have never heard of this making a difference. Sperm is shot up into the cervix (with a tiny opening). Lying down or running a marathon doesn't make any difference.

You don't need to lay down after sex to conceive! The sperm swim straight up into your uterus as soon as the man ejaculates..only the semen runs out of you, which is the liquid sperm travel in.
I have gotten pregnant standing up having not laid down at all!
But whatever presses your buttons I guess!
