No, you don't need a College Degree. You do need a high school diploma, and some clases would definitely help. I know in California, we have to continue our education before we renew our licenses. This is always a great idea, whether it's mandatory or not, because Real Estate Law changes so often.
As far as successful agents income, well, it all depends on how you do it. I am a part-time agent/loan officer, and I do around 2 deals a month. Agents who work really hard at it, and make it their life can make anywhere from $100,000-$200,000. The income potential is limitless. Especially if you were to get your broker's license.
I wish the best of luck to you should you decide to pursue it!

You don't need a college degree to become a real estate agent. But some firms that you join may require a college degree.
Success is all relative. If you have the personality, drive and attitude for it, then obviously yes. In the mortgage industry, I feel an advisor earning 250K is successful. Some people in my firm are content with 100K. The same concept applies to the real estate industry. If you have the drive, grit, willing to grind with an empathetic ability to negotiate then success in the industry is right around your corner.

You don't need a degree.
It depends on where you are and what you mean by successful.
They can do very well. Some spend more on gasoline than they make, though.

Having a degree or not has no bering. It has no advantages or disadvantages. All that matters is that you pass a course approved by your state and pass your states test.
