The business produces less than 35% less than promised. The debit is 20% more than we were told. All we did was sign a letter generated by the owners wife and it was notarized by the local bank. Is there a way out? HELP.

Yes, it is possible, but it depends in part on how long you've waited. You need to see an attorney first thing tomorrow morning. You are a victim of fraud, which does allow you to rescind your agreement if you meet certain specific conditions. Take that letter that you signed to your attorney. It will be a HUGE help to you if they also signed it or if it is printed on their own letterhead. (For statute of frauds purposes it must be signed by the party to be charged.) Please, go see an attorney first thing in the morning. Time is of the essence and you are in the middle of a race.
