I'm going on a school trip to DC next week, and I have anxiety about it. Usually, I don't get anxiety, I'm never really stressed or anything, but now I do. I have anxiety about a things more often now, and don't really like to do any of the things I used to. A month ago I would have been really excited. It's really stressing me out. This isn't just with the trip though, and I have a feeling it has some other cause. What should I do?

I'm barely ever even happy anymore, I couldn't even enjoy it when my girlfriend gave me a new bucket of BBs today.

A person starts to feel anxiety because they lose confidence in their ability to handle and control things in life. Have there been some major changes in your life, such as a divorce or death in the family or other kind of disruption? It's not natural to feel anxious and you should get some help, especially if it's keeping you from enjoying things. I would talk with someone, such as a school counselor or a therapist. And do it now so this doesn't become a long-term problem. Good luck.
