Im writing a speech about sunscreen and i was wondering if you still tan with sunscreen on and how does it affect the tanning process(i not sure what category to ask it in =/)

You can still tan or burn with sunscreen on. I've heard that the SPF (or Sun Protection Factor) number is how much longer you can stay in the sun with the same effects. In other words, SPF 8 means you can stay out in the sun 8 times longer than normal without burning; SPF 45 means you can stay out 45 times longer before burning. So the lower the SPF number, the more likely you are to get tan or burned.

Yes- you may even burn. The rule is apply 30 minutes prior to exposure after 3 hours and frequently while in or near water.

Your tanner may have an SPF rating, in which case, you will tan more slowly. No tanner with or without SPF will prevent tanning or burning.

yes you can =the sun screen is supposed to slow down the sun rays so you won't burn your skin
