If you have just put it in you need to wait. A tampon will be difficult to remove if it is dry. Did you remember to leave the string hanging out? If you did, then each time you go to the toilet, give it a gentle pull. When wet enough it should slip out fairly easily.
Now if you didn't, don't panic! The vagina is like a stretchy tube, and only about 3 1/2 inches deep (when you're not engaged in sex) - the length of your index finger - so it can't get lost. You can reach in and pull it out with your fingers, but again you will have to wait until it has some miosture, or you can use some water to moisten it if you really want it out now.
Personally I would wait to use tampons until you were a little more familiar with your cycles - sometimes the first flow is not enough to use tampons.
But take care now, you are entering a new exciting part of your life, and relax. At least 50 % of the population has been there too!!!

Go soak in the bath for a few minutes and let some of the water into your vagina, it will be soaked up by the tampon therefore making it easier to remove.
Hope this helps!

Hey :)
Personally, I don't use tampons. However, I think I've read something about this before. This might sound weird, but try to use your fingers. If you cannot reach it because it is too far up, your vaginal muscles will contract itself to push it out eventually. Don't worry--it's not impossible to get it out, and you won't have to do some crazy surgery. It can't have gone in too far, since nothing can go through your cervix unless it's forced up there (ie sticking a knife up. ew.)
I would say to first try and pull it out with your fingers. If it gets pushed further back, or you cannot feel it, just relax and let your body push it out by itself. However, if you're worried, you should go to a hospital or to the doctors. They have a way to get anything out ^^
Don't worry! :)

oohh honey...is your mom around? Can you see the string? The only thing I can advice is go to the bathroom, try to look for the string and pull it out. Don be afraid to go and get it with your fingers, is not good and not healthy to have a tampon for too long. If you have a sister or mom close by, don't be shy and ask them. Don't freak out, ok? It will not go anywhere, but you have to take it out.

Sit with your knees apart and relax as much as you can. Your muscles could be too tight because you are tense. You need to relax as much as you can. If it is too dry, you may tear your vaginal walls, so if you have just put it in, then wait a few hours. I usually don't use them the first or last day of my period because of this.
Good luck, try not to freak out. You'll be fine!

Push with your vagina muscles as you pull on the string, might hurt but don't worry you won't hurt anything inside of you. Just keep pulling it and relax. That happened to me about 3 or 4 years ago when I decided to try tampons, I got really scared but then I got a really good grip on the string and just TUGGED and I was okay. :)

awww sweetie, don't panic. maybe you should go the emergency room. or, maybe your mom or a very close friend can help you (as uncomfortable as that might be). I doubt there's any reason to be so scared.
