I go about half-way down . . . just to see if anyone has really answered the question.
I'm learning it doesn't really matter if the answer if correct or not.

Usually, unless I have an answer I know will be distinctive. If someone asks a simple Q with only 1 possible answer, and 17 people have already said the same thing, I won't waste 1 of my limitted answers on it.

I usually answer first and then scan through the other answers. Unless it's a question that has a factual answer. If I know the answer I'll look first to see if others have given the correct answer. If they have then I don't answer because that looks like point-gaming and just copying others.

Sometimes yes sometimes no. Just depends on the question. The reason is. Sometimes I care if I duplicate an answer.
